What is a buldging disc?

The Discs in your spine are made up of a soft center jelly type substance surrounded by a tougher cartilagenous exterior. If enough pressure is created on the disc, the soft center can push through the exterior can create a buldge. Visualize pressing down on the top of a jelly donut and having the jelly in the middle start to protrude outward without completely dislodging from the donut itself. This buldge can be the origination of other conditions such as spinal stenosis, pinched nerves, spinal canal narrowing, numbness, and tingling.
